Dandelion Concho Collection Inspiration

Dandelion Concho Collection Inspiration

I had been working on a design for my first fine western jewellery collection, for quite a few months. As much as I loved what I was working on, it had no story. And for me story is important, as it helps us connect with each other.

One day I was driving to have lunch with my mother, and I was playing Ella Langley's newly released song "Dandelion". It took me back to 25years earlier, when I had designed a Dandelion Etching for art, in my last year of school. I then had a vision of a Dandelion Concho. As soon as I pulled up at the restaurant, I contacted my friend, co-designer and manufacturer and shared my idea with her. And from there, the Dandelion Concho Collection grew...

At that time, I was going through a very difficult period in my life and the metaphors behind the Dandelion deeply resonated with me. Not only it's natural resilience, but the softness they bring in sometimes harsh conditions, and the possibility that they can take root anywhere. During this darkness, I was determined to create beauty in my life, for both myself and for my two daughters. The design and creation process brought so much joy to my life and now to witness the seeds of the Dandelion growing in the hearts of my clients, is the most beautiful gift.
